mote: voice commenting for Google Docs
Welcome to the beta test of mote: the first Chrome extension that lets you easily add voice comments, link-previews and emojis to shared docs. Today, mote works with Google Docs, Slides and Sheets. How to use mote: Voice comments: your team-mates can listen to your voice comments or read the transcribed voice note within the document if they have the extension - or via a link, if they haven't yet added mote. Link shares: any URLs that you or your team-mates share will be previewable in the comment field, just like in Slack. Try giphy.com/your-search to add a gif. Emojis Now it's easy to add emojis to your comments in Docs. just type ":" followed by the name of the emoji that you're looking to insert. Why use mote? Collaborate on your own schedule: more and more of us are adjusting to working remotely and to managing multiple work and life commitments. mote helps you and your team communicate effectively without needing to all be on a call / video chat together. Happier teams: when your feedback really matters, it's best delivered in your own words and voice. No catch: mote instantly transcribes all your voice notes, so your team-mates can always choose to read or listen to your motes.
