## TeX Math Here

This add-on has two main functionalities.

The first (and main) functionality is to launch a small popup window for the entering of TeX code upon either icon press or keyboard shortcut*. After the TeX code is entered and font properties selected, clicking Convert or Ctrl/Cmd + Enter will instantly convert the code to a .png with the symbolic math, via Code Cogs. The generated image is injected with useful metadata (namely, the TeX code for screen reader compatibility) then automatically copied to the clipboard for pasting anywhere that images (or their source attributes) are supported.

In Google Docs and Slides, double-double clicking an existing TeX Math Here creation will copy the TeX code to the popup for its next instance.

*Keyboard Shortcut To Launch
Windows: Ctrl+Shift+Y
Linux: Ctrl+Shift+U
Mac: Command+Shift+Y
ChromeOS: Ctrl+Shift+U

The second functionality works in the background. The add-on also autocorrects typed TeX symbol names to corresponding Unicode symbol equivalents when a web page's text field uses the standard Document Object Model (DOM). For example, typing \pi (then space) into the search box on google.com would result in an autocorrection to π. While this app supports over 200 symbols from TeX, note that many platforms (such as Google Drive's office suite and Microsoft Office) Online do not use DOM and therefore will not currently support this feature.

v0.6 Changelog

-Font properties (selection and size) persist within that browser session for subsequent equations
-Textbox contents highlighted on start for overwriting or editing
-Keyboard shortcuts added (Ctrl+Shift+Y opens the add-on in Windows, Ctrl+Enter Converts code to image, Esc closes it)
-Image workspace clears prior to generating a new expression
-Added ToolTips for font property inputs
-Added clarification that image is automatically copied to clipboard

Generated file is now .png instead of .gif
