Search queries reveal a tremendous amount of information about ourselves. Advertisers then use this information to tailor advertisements to us. However, we don’t always want our private questions to become targeted advertising. This extension will remind you when you enter a search query that looks like it might be something you would want to keep private; and offers you an easily accessible way to continue your search in the Incognito mode. For example, you might look for information about a health issue. This is not something you want to be remembered and personally targeted for advertisements. Add our extension to your browser and when you type personal or sensitive terms in your browser’s address bar, our extension will recognize them and provide you with a quick access link to continue your search in the Incognito mode. If you want to remove our extension, go to “Settings” on Chrome, and find our extension in the “Extensions” tab. Click “remove”. Permissions used and reasons: * Access to “contextMenus”. This permission allows us to add important information tabs to the extension’s icon and provide more guidance to you on how to use our extension. * Access to “notifications”. This permission allows us to send you notifications when we detect a personal or sensitive query that you type in your address bar. This permission is optional, and the extension will provide the same features if you choose to opt-out. * Change default search settings. In order to provide the Incognito function of the extension, we require to change your default search settings to securedbrowseapp.net, powered by Yahoo. This extension supports Yahoo, Google, and Bing. If you would like to change your search engine, you can go to the Settings of this extension and make the change.
